ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2020 dates postponed due to Coronavirus, check new dates

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020 which was to be held in this year’s last has been postponed for about a year. It will now be held in October or November 2021. According to ICC the dates have been postponed due to coronavirus pandemic and are not going to hold this year.

The decision of postponing the dates was decided in the meeting held by ICC officials. In the meeting, it was decided that the T20 World Cup will start in October 2021 and the final match will be played on 14 Nov 2021. However, the dates of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup matches are not decided yet.

However, the board has also decided on the dates of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022. The World Cup 2022 will be held in the month of Oct and Nov and the final match will be played on 13 Nov 2022. On the other hand, ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 will be played in India in the months of Oct and Nov.

As the news stated by ICC, “ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020 postponed, due to the COVID19 pandemic. ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 will be held on October Nov 2021 with the final on 14 Nov 2021. ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 will be held Oct Nov 2022 with the final on 13 Nov 2022. ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 will be held in India Oct-Nov 2023 with the final on 26 Nov.”

Many cricketers and cricket fans were demanding to ICC to postpone the dates of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and finally, it held. However, there are many cricket fans and some cricketers who wanted that the world cup should be held this year and without fans but it could not be held.

The board has finally decided to postpone the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup due to coronavirus pandemic and the dates of matches will be announced soon.
